LA Coles Fine Art Films/ 2053152 Ontario Inc. is a boutique production company. Very hands-on in the creation of original commercial productions, Executive Producer, Coles transitioned into film in 2001 with a multiple award winning film, “In The Refrigerator”. Types of work with which she’s engaged include Theatrical Features, Non Scripted TV, Shorts, Documentary and Interactive Digital Media.
MELODY MAKERS chronicles the birth of rock, the ascent of musicians and Melody Maker magazines defining musical moments captured at shutter speed. Featuring ERIC BURDON (The Animals), IAN ANDERSON (Jethro Tull), YES (Steve Howe, Chris Squire, Alan White), DAVE COUSINS (The Strawbs), JUDY DYBLE (Fairport Convention), Nazareth (PETE AGNEW & DAN MCCAFFERTY), STEVE ABBOTT (UK Decay) other notable musicians, and the original staff of Melody Maker magazine.
Coming off a successful festival run, Melody Makers will appeal to fans of music journalism, classic rock ‘n’ roll, iconic B&W analogue photography and pop culture.
THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE RELEASE – MELODY MAKERS IBOOK/ IDM. In tandem with the theatrical launch of Melody Makers, film maker Coles created a special edition Interactive Digital Media / iBook, an immersive experience designed for all mobile devices. The Melody Makers App will be available world wide to drive exposure and sales for the feature film. The interconnected visual journey of the IDM contains a photo gallery, trailers, interactive rock trivia games, rock picture puzzles and embedded B roll. The App and VOD releasing in Canada includes the 95 min. director’s cut to be released in Canada July 2019. Supported by Telefilm Canada.
Committed to produce commercial films and cross platform projects that combine art entertainment and social justice. Under the stewardship of Coles who has executive produced forty – six short films directed by youth at risk through the Young Filmmaker Development Workshop (YFDW), a program established under the auspices of the Female Eye Film Festival founded by Coles in 2001 to address gender parity in the industry.
